Some really funny jokes or pranks can hurt others.  My friend Jay always end up sleeping after some drinks.  One gathering when he got drunk, some friends took pictures and made fun of him and posted them on Facebook.  When Jay saw the photos he was so upset.  More friends made funny comments.  Another friend Bruce said something and his friends made fun of him.  Bruce was so red with embarrassment.  I guess we just need to be cautious and be sensitive to people’s feelings.  When we are publicly humiliated our self esteem is diminished.  Let’s encourage, not discourage; let’s spread the love and friendship.

Thanks. Well-taken as this story seems to make a stronger argument with more detailed quotes. I have to admit Roger should have chosen his words more carefully. I really do think that he did not intend to attack Djokovic. It is still being overplayed by the media. Roger does not like to lose lyrics and quotes others as well. I am sure all of them have said things like Paul said that they regret. You hate to see a match being lost on such a point but of course it was not lost just on that point.

Roger will always be my favorite but think that he has acted slighly out of character with these types of comments. I do think that Djokovic is getting too much credit for his courageousness and playing to the crowd and that may be actually disrespectful. Compared to Murray, Nadal, Roddick, and others, both Roger and Novak are gentlemen. To his credit, Djokovic does not want this story to be overplayed. That is more than can be said by the media. Just my opinion.
